Wales Covid Inquiry

Croeso i’r tîm, Elen!

Elen Jones has joined Team HE’s Public Law & Private Litigation department, working on the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.

Elen graduated from Cardiff University in 2022 with an LLB in Law and later completed an LPC/LLM in Legal Practice and Advanced Drafting at Swansea University this year. While studying for her postgraduate degree, she had the opportunity to work on an Infected Blood Inquiry as a document review paralegal. Elen has also worked on an Advanced Drafting Project focused on Neurodiversity in the workplace.

Commenting on why she was keen to join Harding Evans, Elen highlighted the firm’s prioritisation of diversity and inclusion that sets it apart from others, such as the focused advice for the LGBTQ+ community.” She went on to add that “as a proud Welsh speaker, I’m looking forward to working in a firm that has opportunities for using and celebrating the Welsh language. After my previous experience working on a public inquiry, I recognise the importance of the work being carried out, so I am very much looking forward to playing a part in the UK Covid-19 inquiry.”

Craig Court, Partner and Head of Public Law & Private Litigation, added, “I’m really pleased to welcome Elen to our team dedicated to representing Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice Cymru at the UK Covid Inquiry. I have no doubt she will be a huge asset to us and look forward to working with her and seeing her development in the role”.

In her spare time, Elen can be found reading classical literature, and writing short stories and poetry. She also loves to cook and bake for her friends, her twin sister and family.

Welcome to the team, Elen!
